Yesterday was Wo-Nut’s Grand Opening in SM Taytay and they had a great way to celebrate it.
The First 50 people who was in line received free Wo-Nuts, then the 51st to 100th customers received a BUY 1 TAKE 1 offer and the rest, a BUY 2 TAKE 1.
On Wo-Nut’s Facebook page it said that the line will start at 12noon. However, there was a delay and they only started giving out Wo-Nuts at around 1pm. I dont think the people really noticed that as they were happy to wait.
The owners and a priest for the blessing and ribbon cutting were present too. I’ve got to say, Wo-Nut’s owners are very hands on to the point that he even started handing out to the very patient crowd.
I arrived around a little past 11am as we were told to come at 11am. Not sure why but when I got there, they were still organizing and setting up. Since I was there early, I got to witness the curious passer-bys. I mean who wouldn’t want to try out the first and original waffle and donut in the Philippines, right?
Wo-Nut is a combination of both waffle and donut toppings and fillings and the prices start at 17pesos. Continue reading to see the available Wo-Nut flavors and prices.
Aside from the SM Taytay location, they are also in SM San Mateo, Robinsons Place Antipolo, SM City Fairview, Robinsons Forum (usually located in the food court area), and more to come. They are even planning to open branches outside the Philippines!
Wo-Nut offers dealership packages. You can find out more about it here: How to be a Wo-Nut Dealer?
Of course, I had to take a box home to try these out! It is highly recommended to consume your Wo-Nuts asap. In cases that you want to save it for the next day, put it in the fridge and pop it in the microwave or oven quickly to heat it up a bit. Pair it with coffee or tea and you’re all set for the day! I say that because these Wo-Nuts are very filling.
Almond White is one the best sellers. The toppings are made of white chocolate and imported crunchy almonds. Another best seller is the Green Tea, it is also topped with the same imported almonds like the Almond White. Green Tea is definitely perfect for Matcha lovers and it is my personal favorite.
Choco Mallows, Strawberry and Cheezy Cheese
If you’re used to a crunchy waffle texture, Wo-Nut is a bit spongey (like a donut) but it still tastes amazing because of the unique toppings. You can have this for breakfast, for snack and even bring as pasalubong to your family after a long day in the office.
Here are the other Wo-Nut flavors and complete pricelist so you can plan ahead what to buy when you visit them. Happy Wo-Nut!
