Cu Chi Bar Makati Review
If you are traveling to Vietnam, I really recommend that you go eat and enjoy Vietnamese cuisine. The food there is super delicious. So when I kind of took a break from traveling, I kept on wishing and hoping to find an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in the Philippines. Finally, I felt that my prayers were answered with the opening of Cu Chi Bar in Makati. Btw, I say authentic Vietnamese restaurant because the chef, Chef Tung “Ryan” Pham, is from Vietnam.

Cu Chi Bar Food

“My partners and I wanted to offer something healthy and cheap, and Vietnamese food is generally healthy but it doesn’t break the bank at all. People love [to eat in Vietnam] and there are a lot of night markets—it’s just chill, which is the vibe that we want to achieve here. That’s also why we have beer pong because we want everyone to have a good time,” said one of the owners, Mike M, to Spot PH.

Cu Chi Bar Makati ReviewThe ambiance is an artistic rustic, with cool wall graffitis. On specific nights, they have DJs and you can play beer pong here as well.

When I think about Vietnamese food, Fresh Spring Rolls is the first thing that I think of. Cu Chi Bar’s Fresh Spring Rolls (shaved vegetables, heaps of fresh mint, light rice noodles, and shrimp) is really good and the peanut butter sauce that comes with it is like a match made in heaven!

If you’re like me who likes the crunch, the Fried Spring Rolls will be your best bet. It’s not that oily even if it is deep fried.
