Before anything else, let me just say how super happy I am to be back in Boracay! With everything that has happened to me lately, this is a much needed break that I totally deserve. As soon as I flew back to Manila from Hong Kong, I knew I needed a quick getaway. And of course, I’d choose Boracay in a heartbeat (and yes, I also know that I need to come visit other islands around the Philippines – Palawan, Cebu, etc – they are on my list).
Since I’ll be traveling by myself, I had to be smart on where to stay. I wanted a hotel that’s ACA for me: Accessible, Comfortable and Affordable.
For the couple of times that I have been to Boracay, I see lots and lots of hotel being built and opening. I have to be honest though, there are hotels that aren’t really worth coming back to.
Luckily, I stayed in a boutique hotel: Ferra Hotel Boracay (as you have guessed by the title already – Ferra Hotel Boracay Review). Its a super short walk to D’Mall Station 2.
Since it was the Halloween, the hotel was all decked up for it. Hence, the bats decoration and webs that you can see in some of the photos. Other than that, I was also amazed by the contemporary architecture and design of the hotel. Ferra Hotel Boracay definitely offers up-to-date amenities too.
As soon as I checked in, the staff took care of me and handed me my yummy welcome drinks. It was super good that I had to ask if I can bring it to my room haha!
Ferra Hotel in Boracay is a boutique hotel with 37 rooms. I actually prefer to stay in hotels like this because you know that you’d really be taken care of, compared to a big hotel with so many guests.
The staff here is knowledgeable too and they can easily assist you without hesitations. Being a sucker for a great massage, I requested via the front desk for a massage therapist. And wow, did they deliver! It was so good that I immediately fell asleep after (and also requested for the same therapist to come the next day – I have so much tension and knots on my back).
I stayed in one of their One Bedroom Loft and for the rate that they offer for it, it was honestly such a great deal! The bed was super comfortable and gave me such a good night’s sleep.
Speaking of good night’s sleep, you don’t have to worry about all the noise that Boracay can bring in to your room. Yes, it isn’t a beachfront accommodation, but Ferra Hotel Boracay is accessible and close to the two popular beaches in the island, Bulabog Beach and White Beach.
There are a couple of Ferra Hotel Boracay rooms: Superior Room, Standard Room, Suite Room, One Bedroom Loft and Two Bedroom Loft. All of these rooms offer complimentary Wi-Fi access, cable TV, DVD player, air-conditioning unit, hot and cold shower, mini-refrigerator, coffee and tea maker and in-room safe.
Staying in Ferra Hotel’s One Bedroom Loft, I loved how spacious and comfortable it was. As if I was staying in a condo.
The room features a kitchenette and a sofa sleeper.
Aside from the bed, another thing thats important for me is the shower and toilet. The shower pressure was amazing and hot water was always available. The toilet also has a bidet (A++ for me).
Ferra Hotel Boracay has complimentary buffet breakfast from 7am to 10am. They offer Filipino breakfast, noodles, salad, pastries, breads, egg station, cereals, soup, coffee, tea, beverages.
Ferra Hotel Boracay has a number of facilities. They have a swimming pool (great for quick laps), specialty restaurant, a shuttle, a roof deck and tour services.
I was also able to drink and dine at Ferra Hotel’s The Ruf Resto Bar. This roof deck restaurant and bar has a great view and a nice place to chill in the evening. Click here to read my The Ruf Resto Bar review on their food and drinks.
I had such a great stay here in Ferra Hotel Boracay and I look forward to coming back here. I highly recommend that you stay here – great affordable rate aka great value for money, awesome location and hospitable staff.
