Anchor, the leading dairy brand in the country has been here for over 37 years. Mike Boness, general manager of Fonterra Brands Philippines Inc. (a cooperative owned by at least 10,500 farming families in New Zealand, produces dairy from exclusively grass-fed cows) which owns and produces Anchor, says during the event “It is true that most people associate our brand with butter. But we have so much more to offer. The volume of cheeses sold in the Philippines is growing as more and more people have traveled abroad and have become open to trying different kinds of food, including cheese.” – I personally love cheese and I couldn’t agree more with his statement.

Anchor being a product of New Zealand, only uses world-class milk that is naturally rich in antioxidants and free from genetically modified organisms.

“We have happy cows, and that state of happiness is evidenced in the quality of our milk. We have what we call a from-grass-to-glass process, which means the quality of the milk does not deteriorate as we go through the supply chain. Our New Zealand farmer families are committed to the strictest standards of quality control through regular on-farm testing and independent farm and environmental assessments. Our tanker drivers collect milk samples from every farm they visit to test its quality.” – Mike Boness, general manager of Fonterra Brands Philippines Inc.

If Anchor is of premium quality, why is it so affordable?

Simply because they want the products to be more accessible!

During the #AWholeLotToLove Anchor event at Single Origin Rockwell, the dishes served to us were unique to the event and whats made it special is that every meal prepared was made with Anchor products. Talk about consistency, right?

The starter was Melba Toast with Garlic and Chives Butter with Anchor Salted Butter and Anchor Cheese Block. I wasn’t able to take a photo because I arrived late :( But I had a bit of it and wow, this was super good and creamy!

Pumpkin and Cinnamon Soup with Anchor Culinary Cream. I love a good pumpkin soup and this right here hits the spot perfectly. I’m not a big fan of cinnamon but I can totally ignore that because this was probably the best I’ve had so far.

Fish and Fries with Marinara Sauce with Anchor Grated Parmesan, Anchor Culinary Cream, and Anchor Unsalted Butter. This was surprisingly filling and great for sharing. The fish was very fresh and flavorful. Most importantly, it doesnt have that seafood-y taste. Paired with truffle fries with parmesan and salad on the side.

Four Cheese Pizza with Anchor Shredded Mozzarella, Anchor Shredded Cheddar, and Anchor Grated Parmesan. I LOVE PIZZA! Guys you have no idea how this made me happy, having this for brunch was heaven! This is the kind of pizza that wont leave you overwhelmed with the cheese because everything just blended perfectly.

Stoned Steaks
White Truffle Pasta with Anchor Culinary Cream, Anchor Grated Parmesan, and Anchor Unsalted Butter. The moment this came out from the kitchen, this made my head turn like (smelling a guy with Issey Miyake on). I guess I’m one of those people who loves anything with truffle.

Bonus pasta because Harvard of AlwaysHungry.PH requested for one – he’s one of those who doesnt really like truffle hehe

Stoned SteaksMango Caramel Grand Marnier with Anchor Whipping Cream and Anchor Unsalted Butter. No matter how full I am, I have a separate tummy for dessert. This had the right blend of sweetness and fruity – a great way to end the 6-course meal that we were spoiled of.

Drink: Salted Caramel Iced Latte – need that caffeine kick in for the day, you know?
