Crisp on 28th is a neighborhood BGC cafe by Erwan Heussaff. The sister restaurant of Hatch 22, it offers breakfast and healthy all-day dining meals. Their healthy quinoa salads and beautiful plates are making a buzz everywhere, because trust me it’s worth the hype.
In 2013, I always have breakfast at Hatch 22 since my boyfriend and I were living right across Powerplant Mall. But for some reason, I wasn’t really in love with the place. Crisp on 28th in BGC, on the other hand, is an entirely different story. The fact that the tables are few, gives it a really intimate feel when you walk in. Plus points for having a friendly management and staff. I usually never finish my meal but what I ordered was on point!
I had Fresh envelope pasta with roasted chicken and mushroom roulade (broccoli cream, sous vide egg, crisp bacon lardons) P425
Also on the photo:
Roasted sambal chicken thighs (brown dirty rice, pickled cucumbers, friend okra, sambal sauce) P385
Homemade corned beef, wasabi mayo, apple and celery tapenade, Swiss cheese, whole grain, mustard, rye bread, caramel soy onions P345.00
Signature chocolate P135
Earl grey supreme
We also enjoyed the Panna Cotta Trio P180 which includes a sampler of 3 flavors – Coffee Latte, Mango-Mint Vanilla and Chocolate S’mores.
Conclusion: The flavors were rich, cooked to perfection. I look forward to dining here again to try the other meals in their menu. Budget-wise, if you are looking to spend more than your usual fast-food restaurant, Crisp on 28th is the way to go. Who can say no to a healthy hearty meal anyway?
