Have you ever found yourself wanting to escape the busy city life and have a me-time? Or celebrating a special occasion with your loved ones and would want to spoil them? Even better, are you like me who’s always traveling and struggling to find affordable hotels and flights? Continue reading because I just found my holy grail when it comes to easy hotel booking – with Traveloka.
This time however, I was in need of a me-time, or lets say a much needed staycation. I didn’t want to book directly with a particular hotel because I know it can get a bit pricey (and of course, I don’t want that). I mean, I’m not a cheapskate, but the more affordable it is, the better.
When it comes to booking hotels, you can’t really haggle or bargain so the best thing to do is to get on various websites and find the cheaper option of the same hotel. It takes a lot of work to find the right one, so I am definitely happy that I got to discover Traveloka.
I downloaded the Traveloka App from the AppStore. Traveloka is a website-slash-app that allows you to go over various hotels and flights. Once you made your pick, you can book directly with Traveloka.
The Traveloka app interface is very simple to use. It was my first time ever to open the app and I didn’t have any problems using it.
This is what the homescreen looks like, you get to choose which categories you would like to browse. Since I was looking for accommodations, I selected “hotels”.
The next screen you will see is the Search Hotel, all you have to do is input the destination, check in date, duration, total guests and rooms. Basically, all the details that you need when booking for a hotel. When you’re ready, tap the search button. 
What I love about the Traveloka App is that it is not pretentious or anything. It does what it says it does and it is very user-friendly.
After a couple of seconds, you will have your search results of various hotels within the vicinity that you can choose from. You’ll get to see the ratings and the price in the same screen.
Since I’m the type of person who is always after a deal with a good value for money, I selected this room. I checked the amenities and location as well and it definitely was a great deal. I tapped the Select Room button to secure the room.
The next screen will show the booking details and you need to fill in your contact details as well to finalize the booking. 
All good? Then tap Continue to Payment. You have the options to pay via Credit/Debit Card and even better, over the counter via 7-Eleven, M Lhuillier or Cebuana Lhuillier.
Once your payment has been confirmed, you should receive an email confirmation and you can find your booking in the app itself. Here’s a video of what it looks like:
