Lately, I noticed that my skin is more prone to breakouts (it could be from stress, pollution, etc). Even though I have tried getting facial treatments from facial salons in the mall because its cheap and convenient, I didn’t really notice that my skin was improving.
If you remember, I previously wrote my first impression on Derm HQ blog post earlier this year. I wasn’t able to come back since then because I was traveling quite frequently. Luckily, I was in Makati last week so I popped in for a quick facial treatment.
They are still located in Island Plaza Bldg, 105 LP Leviste St., Salcedo Village but moved to the 2nd floor. Which I personally liked because the space is bigger than before. They also have a branch in Malate, Manila.
Derm HQ is a Dermatology & Laser Center owned and operated by Dr. Gaile Robredo – Vita, with a team of board-certified dermatologists of the Philippine Dermatological Society
Dr Gaile is super accommodating and friendly that you won’t really feel awkward talking to her about your skin concerns. Unlike when you are visiting a facial salon in the malls, they’re only talking to you because they want to sell products or add more treatments so you end up paying more. Plus, keep in mind that they aren’t certified dermatologists.
In case you are wondering, this is what my skin was like before coming in. I have small annoying pimples and tons of whiteheads. They’re very hard to cover up with makeup because they end up so bumpy.
DermHQ Facial starts at P495, a little bit more than what you will usually pay if you go to the ones in the malls but you will definitely get your money’s worth. Products used are all from the US and they use the ones that your skin specifically needs. Medicalia products were used on me because I have oily skin. The equipment is also top of the line.
Here in Derm HQ, you will get your own space. And if you have a companion, they can comfortably wait with you.
I dont know if you guys experienced rush or rough kind of facial treatments in the ones in the malls because I did. Also, I noticed that they use super small portion of products on my skin. Which I guess is what I should expect because it was cheap. So say goodbye to those bad experiences because it won’t happen here in Derm HQ.
This is what I saw when I was lying down. Such a beautiful reminder!
This is me getting ready for my 45 minute facial which includes cleansing, exfoliation, steam, pricking, massage and more. Honestly, I don’t really look forward to the pricking part but wow, it didn’t hurt that much here! She was also super gentle on my face which I really loved. I also learned that I have milia all over my face. I will come back again to get those removed.
No more stubborn whiteheads! My skin isn’t perfect yet but I’m getting there. Can’t wait to have a fresh and clear skin again with Derm HQ. Want to look extra beautiful? Read this review of Idol Lash eyelash enhancer.
