Stoned Steaks Review

I love me some delicious medium rare steak. Like literally, I can have it every day if I could. At the newly-opened restaurant in Tomas Morato, Quezon City, they are introducing a concept wherein you cook your own steak on your table and at your own pace, with a lava stone.

Using a Lava Stone, the high temperature is being retained so that we can cook own own steak exactly the way we like it. I got to try Stoned Steak’s Wagyu Ribeye Grade 4 and their 28-Day Dry Aged Wagyu Ribeye Grade 6. I like the latter because it has more flavors and was really tender. Don’t get me wrong both was tender and juicy.

One of the oldest and healthiest forms of cooking, it traps the natural flavor of your steak for a delicious and unique way to enjoy your meal. You won’t get this from a regular grill.

As Stoned Steaks revives this traditional concept of cooking, they make sure that every steak is served on a 350 degrees Celcius lava rock. By cutting the meat as it’s searing, you can control and maintain the heat and juiciness of your high quality cut steak.

Co-founders Dick Balajadia (who is a graduate of culinary arts in California Culinary Academy, an affiliate of Le Cordon Bleu, which granted him a passion for the food industry) and Mars Balajadia made their discovery while on a cruise, where they were amazed and impressed by the way their steaks were cooked and served. Immediately inspired, they formed a plan to introduce this cooking tradition to the Philippines.
