HAVE YOU SEEN MY OTHER POST ON Alegria Cozinha Moderna & Sangria Bar? CLICK HERE IF YOU HAVEN’T.
Alegria in BGC has been my go-to restaurant for my Mexican fix (and their Sangrias of course). Was super happy when one of the owners reached out to me to try some of their new dishes (plus the fact that I get to share it with some of my friends who all absolutely love the food and drinks – so will definitely be back here soon!)

They first served us their PESCADO Taco – Market Fish, Pasilla Relish, Charred Pineapple and Corn, Red Cabbage, Tortilla Frijol
THIS WAS SO GOOD AND I THINK I COULD EAT LIKE 5 OF THESE IN ONE SEATING. The fish was so fresh and very tasty. Every bite left me wanting more.

At
This was too good for words, very crunchy and the filling was very delicious. Definitely a must-try!

One of our mains was the FRICASÈ DE POLLO. A braised Chicken, Sofrito, Morita, Hoja Aguacate, Potatoes, Cilantro dish served with Arroz (rice). The chicken is very juicy and tender and the whole dish can be shared with 2 people.

DO YOU SEE THAT THICK, JUICY BACON? Wow, this dish won me over 10x. It is called the FEIJOADA – Grilled Bacon Gordita, Black Bean Stew, Farofa, Edamame,
The way I ate it was, I had a slice of the bacon, topped with oranges, farofa and beans. The overall taste and flavor all together was so good. I’d be honest and say that this dish is good for one person (if you are dining with me haha).

As soon as this was served, our whole table went “Woah”. We all love our meat so this was pretty much heaven for us. Alegria’s CARNE DEL GAUCHO is a 500G USDA Prime Grade Rib Eye Steak served with Corn and Zucchini Asada, Garlic Confi, Chimichurri and Pasilla Barbecue Sauce. Perfect for sharing (or not lol). The meat was very tender and the Chimichurri was very delicious. Will definitely come back for this!

And of course for dessert, we got to try the CAYO – St. Louis Avocado Ice Cream, Cajeta Cona, Muscovado Crumble, Kiwi. This was literally gone in seconds. I love the Muscovado Crumble twist personally.

For drinks, some of my friends had Vodka Redbull, Gin on the Rocks, Red Sangria, while I shared a carafe of Rosé sangria. I also ordered for a fresh hot lemonade.
I highly recommend Alegria Cozinha Moderna & Sangria Bar in BGC if you are looking to have great food and drinks (basically overall dining experience).
P.S. They play Reggaeton here.
Gracias nuevamente y hasta pronto Alegria ❤
