Hey guys! So I’m back with another food photoblog, but this time I’ve got 2 restaurants in one post. Earlier today, I went to attend Always Hungry PH’s food crawl in Marikina. I’m actually feeling a bit sick but I’ve been hearing a lot of feedback on the restaurant situation around this area so I thought I might as well check it out.
First stop is at Zakee Middle East located at #65 Bayan Bayanan Ave. Marikina Heights, Marikina City. Owned by half Jordanian- half Filipino Chef Saife Momani. Just by this fact, you’d know that you’ll be served authentic middle eastern food!
All their dishes are 100% pure and fresh marinated with a special blend of herbs and spices that will surely have you coming back for more! They also have shisha and beers, by the way.
Shakshouka is a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, chili peppers, and onion spiced with cumin and Zakee’s secret spices.
Ox-brain with Pita
One of the best-seller appetizers of Zakee Middle East is this Ox-Brain that’s cooked in a special blend of herbs and spices.
My favorites! Also in photo is Moutabal which is a freshly mashed roasted eggplant with tahini paste, lemon juice and olive oil. This dish is served with pita bread.
Best Shawarma in town, no doubt!
What makes Zakee Middle East’s kebab dishes the ultimate kebab? They focus on quality by using traditional Arabic herbs and spices and fresh ingredients.
Hello Zakee, please get me as your model hahaha
Sizzling T-Bone Steak
I super loved the rice and how tender the steak was!
We were spoiled with Zakee’s Middle East best-seller dishes:
- Ox Brain
- Beef Kebab Biryani Rice
- Chicken Kebab Special Open Plate
- Sizzling T-bone Steak
- Beef Shawarma 10pcs
- Zakee’s 12″ Middle Eastern Pizza
Aaaaand the best thing about all this, the price point is below 150pesos!
Zakee Middle East is open daily 4pm-3am. For reservation contact 0915-365-9984 or like their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/zakeemiddleeast/
Next stop is the first smokeless Korean grill in Marikina, Kor-Bbq Restaurant Grill and Buffet. It is a newly-opened dining restaurant that serves a wide selection of authentic Korean dishes.
The decor of the restaurant is very Korean. They have traditional korean costumes and masks all over the place. They can also cater to big groups (they have a 10% discount on every big groups – min of 10 persons).
Kor-Bbq Restaurant Grill and Buffet highlights its affordable grill-all-you-want Samgyupsal served with side vegetables, soups, and their flavorful kimchi. The quality of the food is fresh and really good.
They also have a selection of rolls and many more! Oh, and I’m sure you’ve heard of the Samyang Fire Noodle challenge, if you love those, you should try their Samyang Chicken.
We were also offered desserts and you know I can’t say no to that! Haha.
For foodies who love Korean cuisine, Kor-Bbq Restaurant Grill and Buffet is the perfect spot to enjoy a one-of-a-kind dining experience.
Kor-Bbq Restaurant Grill and Buffet is located at 19 Almond Nut Street, San Roque, Marikina City
