Alegria Cozinha Moderna & Sangria Bar is located at the top floor of Uniqlo BGC Highstreet branch. You have to go inside the store and use the escalators to go all the way up. If you’re a shopaholic, you might end up with a shopping bag or two haha!
Super love the interiors. They have an aircodintioned area and an al-fresco dining.
Pollo Peruano Churrasco (PHP 420) : Peruvian Quarter Chicken Served with Arroz Alegria, Pork Crackling Crusted Elote and Choice of Red Hummus, Chimichurri or Salsa Creole Sauce
Alegria’s Brazilian grilled meat orders are served with Arroz Alegria, Elote con Chicharones, your choice of sauce (red hummus, chimichurri, salsa creole).
Above photo are the Pork Chops (P450) : 48-hour Apple Brined Pork Chops. What I like about Alegria Manila’s serving is that some of the dishes are good for sharing.
More options are available: Steak Misono (P670), Pollo Peruano (P470), Calamari (P450) and Tiger Prawns (P490).
The Marinero (P380) : a Puerto Rican rice with sun dried tomatoes, chorizo, sausage, mussels, prawns, and calamari dish.
We were able to try 3 of their best seller tacos (P160/each, P450/3 pcs). They have another one for vegetarian – I’ll try that next time.
Mi Japones : misono steak, wasabi aioli, nori, mango salsa, esquites (toasted corn) and red cabbage
Alma Koreana : prawn in squid ink batter, napcha kimchi, ssamjang aioli, kesong puti, and esquites
El Mexicano : pork loin, salsa creole, smoked esquites, red onion pickle, cilantro, jalapeño and avocado (seasonal)
They make their own corn tortilla so its super fresh and has a unique taste.
La Fideo (P365) : apasta tossed in jalapeño aglio olio dish, topped with cherry tomatoes and kesong puti and polio lima (chicken fillet).
Coxinha (P200) : a breaded dough appetizer filled with shredded chicken, served with a side of wasabi aioli. The preparation is quite unique because they add the chicken broth to the dough that enhances the taste of this dish.
They offer a wide variety of sangria and cocktails from P280.
Foi Mal Taco (P180) : a Dark cocoa corn tortilla with vanilla ice cream, chocolate shavings, chocolate meringue shards and crushed nuts dessert. If you’re curious what a dessert taco would taste like, you should definitely order this.
