Before I flew to Hong Kong for the Dragonland Music Festival, I had a nice staycation at The Exchange Regency Residence Hotel Ortigas. I booked this room thru Traveloka (click here to read my Traveloka App review).

I had a great two nights stay with my bestfriend, Hanna, so I’m sharing my The Exchange Regency Residence Hotel Ortigas review here.

Affordable Hotels in Ortigas

Location of The Exchange Regency Residence Hotel in Ortigas is perfect. Especially that I had a meeting that day in Megamall which is just a walking distance – received a text message in the morning that it was cancelled, though.

I arrived a little past check-in time, so everything went smoothly. I was given the keys and was offered to be assisted to the room but declined since front desk was a bit busy that day. I also noticed that there were a lot of tenants living there (I didn’t really catch it in name that it will be a condotel type of building).

There are only two lifts and they are awfully slow, which is also mentioned in the reviews. I wasn’t in a hurry or anything so it wasn’t really a big deal for me

Our room was facing Megamall and it was noisy even if we were in the top floor because there was a building being constructed. I didn’t want to be difficult by asking to be moved to another room. I guess I got used to it as it didn’t bother me that much.

The Exchange Regency Review

The room that I had didn’t include any breakfast. Not a problem for me as I love having the options of what to eat especially there are tons of restaurants and malls around the hotel. There’s also Ministop right in the corner. I also didn’t have any minibar or kettle for hot water, if I wanted one I will need to pay P1000.

The room, however, is equipped with decent WiFi connection. And that is all I needed to be honest, haha! The Exchange Regency Review The Exchange Regency Hotel Review

The beds were comfy and we both had a good night sleep. The Exchange Regency Residence Review

Complimentary bottled water is replenished daily. The Exchange Regency Review The Exchange Regency Review The Regency Hotel Review I find that the shower and toilet were pretty small but it has hot and cold water so I was fine with it.

We had a very relaxing time and even got to call two massage therapists from a company who does hotel or home service. Hanna fell asleep straight away! Haha. It was so much cheaper than going to Nuat Thai and we had a 1hr and 30 mins combination massage for only P400 pesos.

If you are wondering, you can also get food delivery straight to your room. We had McDelivery with no problems at all. Front desk will just call your room to confirm the delivery.Affordable Hotels in Ortigas

They also offer complimentary parking space so you can bring your car and not to worry about paying for any parking fees. The Exchange Regency Review Hey its Chel

Amenities are also good. The Exchange Regency Residence Hotel offers swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, gym, and a pool table.

The weather was a bit cold during our stay, thus the water was freezing! Otherwise, I can honestly see myself chilling by the pool. There is no restaurant or bar by the pool though but you can definitely bring your own food and drinks. Just please make sure that you clean before you leave. The Regency Review Chel Inumerable The Regency Review Chel Inumerable The Regency Review Chel Inumerable

There is toilet and shower as well in the pool area so you can rinse yourself before going back to your room. The Regency Review Hey its Chel

The sauna is not running all the time so you need to ask the attendant to operate it for you.The Exchange Regency Ortigas Review The Exchange Regency Ortigas Review

The gym is fully equipped as well and there weren’t a lot of people using it. For some reason though, we couldn’t turn the treadmill on.The Exchange Regency Ortigas Review

This is what the game room looks like. You also need to ask the attendant to open the door but you can definitely use it for free.

I was in and out the hotel for quite a bit and I can say that the front desk and security are very helpful. Just avoid leaving the hotel during rush hour because you will get stuck in traffic. I had to wait for my Uber for like 45 minutes and it was crazy traffic!

I recommend The Exchange Regency Residence Hotel Ortigas to people who would like to stay close to Ortigas area. It is accessible and affordable with great amenities. What isn’t great is the slow lift and the construction noise. If you wouldn’t mind these two factors, then The Exchange Regency Residence Hotel Ortigas is definitely worth your money for as low as P2,137.89 (when booked with Traveloka).
