The Social on Ebro

This week, I was invited by Mary Love to try out Crosta Pizzeria at The Social on Ebro (Poblacion Makati’s first food park).

The Social on Ebro has a vibrant ambiance and perfect for friends who are in need of some catching up (or just want to have a great time aka pregaming). The Social on Ebro Review

But this isn’t about The Social on Ebro so let’s get back to the topic haha! The Social on Ebro Review

Wondering why you should travel all the way to Poblacion for some pizza?

Crosta’s pizza is not just your regular pizza! What makes it special is how the dough goes through a 48 hour fermentation period. A technique that took 4 years to refine which gives a result of a puffed, crunchy and crisp crust with a chewy consistency.

Their pizzas are deliciously unique because they don’t try to be under the usual categories like Neapolitan, New York, or the usual fast food chains’. There’s quite a selection of brick oven pizzas at Crosta and if you’re a bit undecided on what to get, you can’t go wrong with Pepperoni (Pepperonley) or Five Cheese (Cheesey AF). They also got a Vegan and Non Dairy kind, btw!

We got to try Shroomed Out pizza that’s topped with Shiitake, Portobello, white button mushrooms, Taleggio, Fontina, Parmesan and fresh thyme. This is my favorite! It has all the flavors that you’re looking for in a great pizza. The sourdough complements it too well.

Pepperonley is your classic pepperoni pizza that has slices of salami, mozzarella and parmesan. This was a bit salty for me but I think it has something to do with the sauce. Don’t get me wrong, this pizza is still good!

Crosta Pizzeria Poblacion MakatiThe Basic Bitch is topped with Italian tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and basil. The flavor is no basic because it will leave you craving for more!

Side note, the bar at The Social on Ebro serves really good drinks. Try my all-time favorite Pimms Cup or a glass of Mojito. They go perfectly with any of Crosta’s pizza.

Pimms Cup costs 320pesos for a glass and 1050pesos for one pitcher.

While the Margarita is 220pesos and 700pesos for a pitcher.

I’d definitely come back for some of their pizzas but yeah, Shroomed Out is by far my go-to pizza here at Crosta Pizzeria (even though I live quite far, I reckon it is worth it! Hope they’ll deliver soon haha).
